Know about a spike the same day it happens.

A daily digest is useful for context. It's too slow for an incident. camaze runs a separate, same-day check for spend that looks wrong and emails you the moment it fires — not folded into tomorrow's summary.

Spike detection

Tuned to your own baseline, not a fixed number

Every day, camaze compares yesterday's usage to your trailing 7-day median — which mode applies depends on how much you'd normally spend on a given day:

When you have a baseline

Ratio mode

Fires when yesterday's usage is at least your 7-day median and at least $1 — the floor keeps a 20¢-vs-5¢ day from counting as a spike just because the ratio looks dramatic.

When a week is quiet

Absolute mode

When your median is near zero, a ratio against it is meaningless — so camaze instead fires on any usage at or above $1. Spend resuming after a quiet stretch is exactly the case worth flagging, not the case to suppress.

Budget alerts

A warning before the month closes, not after

Set a monthly budget once, and camaze watches your month-end forecast against it — not just spend so far. When the forecast crosses a threshold you choose (80% by default), you get an email. Budget and spike alerts are sent separately from each other and from the daily digest, so an urgent one never waits behind a routine one.
